FAQs

Q?

What is Helepolis?

A.

Helepolis is a Remote Management and Encryption Detection Tool that will help you act quickly against digital Cyberattacks, respond to IT Emergencies and perform day-to-day IT tasks within your company. Whether you want to stop a Ransomware process, remotely push software or copy a file/folder to all your PCs and Servers - Helepolis enables you to perform the task quicker than your standard tools.

We have designed Helepolis to be lightweight and compact in order to enable it to run not only on brand new Windows 10 PCs and Server 2016, but on low end Windows XP PCs as well. There are many Windows XP PCs still running in businesses and these are the most vulnerable to RansomWare and Malware attacks. With Helepolis, you no longer have to worry about the next RansomWare virus (i.e. WannaCry) encrypting all your files and extorting you for money to get them back.

Helepolis will buy you the valuable time needed for Microsoft and Anti-Virus companies to release their patches to stop the outbreaks. Once a new outbreak is detected in the wild (i.e. WannaCry), Helepolis will be instructed to protect your PCs from infection and once Microsoft and the Anti-Virus companies provide their updates, Helepolis will be put back into stand-by mode.

Companies will benefit greatly considering most take 2 to 4 days to receive, test and rollout the required patches and updates to all of their computes. Helepolis will put your entire company into a specially designed protection mode to protect your PCs while you get your existing anti-virus and ransomware detection systems ready for deployment. Whether it takes you a day or 4 days to rollout these critical patches, your company is vulnerable long enough to completely loose your most critical files. Helepolis protects you during this tense and critical time from once the new ransomware/virus is detected until Microsoft and Anti-Virus companies provide you their updates and patches.

Q?

Is Helepolis an Anti-Virus Tool?

A.

No. Helepolis is not an antivirus tool and is better described as an Emergency Response Tool that will allow you to protect your PCs in seconds when the next big RansomWare or Zero Day virus strikes around the world (i.e. WannaCry). Helepolis will operate simultaneously with your existing antivirus tools and will protect you when those tools fail to protect such as is the case with new zero day type viruses and malware. Helepolis will by you the time you need in order to update your antivirus and to patch your systems.

Tips to Keep Your PCs and Servers Safe:

  1. Download, Install and Configure Helepolis
  2. Ensure Your Existing Antivirus is Up to Date
  3. Apply All Required Microsoft Patches
  4. Invest in a Firewall Product
  5. Educate Yourself and Your Users

Q?

We’ve already been hit, can you help?

A.

Our experts in Analysis and Recovery are good at what they do. Several companies have been hit with a Ransomware virus and we (Acumind) were able to recover some or all of their data they had prior to being hit. New "Recovery Mode" clients are advised to purchase Helepolis as it would help them with cyberattack prevention.

Q?

Does Helepolis work on Windows XP?

A.

One of the biggest questions we get asked is, will Helepolis run on my old Windows XP computer? The answer is a resounding YES. Not only does Helepolis run on older PCs, it operates and takes very little CPU and Memory while protecting your PC. Our first advice, like most, would be to upgrade your Windows XP PCs to a newer operating system that is supported by Microsoft, however we understand sometimes its easier said than done and strive to provide you with a strong alternative under these circumstances.
